The 2017 Strategic Pro Bono/Skills-Based Volunteering Initiative is designed to accelerate the use of pro bono volunteers and match pro bono/skills-based needs identified by nonprofits with volunteers who can meet those needs. The initiative aims to educate non-profits on readiness for strategic pro-bono engagements to lead to successful outcomes, and Identify pro bono needs by having nonprofits complete the Pro Bono Project Proposal Template. NYC Service, in partnership with Taproot Foundation and others, will work to connect non-profits with pro bono/skills-based volunteers to jumpstart to address their capacity-building needs in 2017.
