You'll have a 30 minute call to discuss the scope and deliverables of the project directly with Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood, and for them to confirm you're a good fit.
Once accepted, you'll be able to get right to work. We will check in with you periodically to make sure you have everything you need.
We are looking to improve user interface on all digital platforms in time for the launch of our annual celebration, Screen-Free Week 2020. This includes resolving existing problems with our website. Screen-Free Week is an annual celebration that takes place every spring in homes, schools, and communities throughout the world. Participants pledge to spend a week without entertainment screens and instead enjoy offline time with family and friends. In 2019, over 150,000 individuals around the world celebrated Screen-Free Week. Our website plays a key role in this event, by providing organizers and celebrants with free information, ideas, resources, and even a map of events. But the website is in need of updates, changes, and improvement by the end of this year. The Volunteer will report to the Screen Time Program Manager and work with the Program Coordinator of Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood, host of Screen-Free Week. Some changes to the website handled by the volunteer will be implemented immediately, while other changes will become effective on January 1, 2020, in time for our Screen-Free Week 2020 campaign.
CCFC educates the public about commercialism's impact on kids' wellbeing and advocates for the end of child-targeted marketing.
