The positive impact of art and expression on low-income communities is undeniable. It brings joy, hope, and a sense of belonging. It has been proven to make communities safer and more optimistic, and it is a powerful tool to fight poverty, crime, and social isolation. Our project will not only provide affordable housing but also a space for the community to express themselves and create.

While this is an unpaid opportunity, the value of the hands-on experience and the opportunity to work on a real-life project that will have a positive impact on the community is invaluable. You will also have the opportunity to network with professionals in your field and develop a portfolio of work that will be beneficial for future job opportunities.

If you are interested in this opportunity and would like to apply, please send your resume, portfolio, and a cover letter to chezfab@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!

We have made several preparations for the project including buying the building, researching and identifying grants, and networking with professionals in the field of historic preservation and community development. We have also begun hosting several community events such as concerts, clothes and food distribution, in order to become familiar and provide value to the community.

Once the project is complete, we plan to continue hosting community events and other activities in the space, such as concerts, art shows, and workshops. We also plan to work with local organizations and businesses to provide resources and services to the residents of the affordable housing units, such as job training and financial literacy programs. Additionally, we plan to collaborate with local schools and universities to provide educational and cultural opportunities for the community. Overall, our goal is to create a vibrant and inclusive community space that meets the needs of the residents and provides opportunities for expression, creativity, and personal growth.
