Project Overview

We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users. Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and “soft selling” the product by providing support to current and prospective customers. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, and website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. This is the foundation of the position, more will be added as the product develops.
Launched in 2014, PAY YOUR TUITION (PYT) is a financial technology platform that helps college students complete the last stretch of their college education by facilitating microloans when they fall short of funds to graduate. Since many low- to moderate-income families face $5,000 or less annual gap in tuition funding, PYT founders launched the Pay Your Tuition Foundation (PYTF) in 2016 to augment PYT’s existing efforts and micro-lend directly to students. Together with the Foundation, PYT combines crowdfunding, traditional bank loans, and direct balance sheet lending in order to increase graduation rates and reduce student debt. PYT facilitates the Foundation’s underwriting of the loans by sourcing, qualifying and approving borrowers in need. By leveraging PYT’s innovative, data-driven credit scoring system, PYT creates a safety net for students from underserved communities to graduate, while providing new market opportunities for lenders.
