Project Overview
Seeking to redesign our website, www.startupafrica.org, to help us reach a larger audience informing them of our mission. The design can help us communicate more effectively and reach a wider audience (participants, volunteers, donors, etc.)
This is intended to inspire our supporters and others towards supporting our growing entrepreneurship programs for participants to enable us to succeed in our bold goal of impacting the lives of 10 million youth entrepreneurs and creating 1 million startups out of the 10m.
A successfully new or redesigned website will not only help us to share our mission but will be key in making new connections and encouraging people to participate in our volunteer activities, fundraising events, and make donations.
Volunteers who sign up to help us will know that their time will be changing lives through entrepreneurship and skills training for youth/students, business, and job creation. The work done on the website because of a volunteer's time and expertise will forever be remembered because of the lives that will be impacted positively, and more importantly, the volunteer/s becomes part of our global movement of change-makers.
The project is ongoing now and in over 1,500 institutions in 9 countries. We are at the scale-up stage, having tested the model to reach more participants. The project is running in schools (high schools, TVETs, and universities) and key government agencies for greater impact. In 2023, we're projecting to have 200,000 youth who will participate.
We have done a website audit and have some feedback on what we can do to be better; we also have ideas of areas where we can improve so that the website can stand out. The website will be rolled out immediately via our social media pages and mailing list.
