Project Overview

We need to have our financial statement audited by a CPA for submission on grant proposals and for submission to Guidestar. The financial statement has been completed with guidance from an accountant, but that accountant is not a CPA.

With a yearly budget under $10K, I'm not sure how compelling or attractive I can make a pitch. We need to be able to truthfully say our financial statement, as small as it is, has been audited by a CPA in order to go forward with grant submissions. We are quickly approaching the limit on what can be done with little to no resources and have just recently started applying for grant funding to enable us to continue to serve our community and broaden access to arts and culture and community life-enrichment programs to underserved low-income (ALICE) children and families in our greater local rural area.I have done a completed financial statement. I'm not the treasurer, but I am in quick contact with him via Facebook messaging should there be any questions that I can't answer.

Nonprofit Overview

Operated and led entirely by volunteers, Dewings Center's mission is to maintain a community and arts center to provide classes and programs that pertain to prominent and relevant community issues and needs of today, with the added interest of making these programs accessible and affordable to low-income families and children in the greater LeRoy, MI area. Producing and hosting community events in support of the arts and cultural and social enrichment, and outreaching to the greater local area community, we seek to promote a connected community by providing spaces for people to engage with one another while participating in events and classes in the arts, history, culture, and local area interests, and providing affordable rental spaces for private functions and events like the regular LeRoy Needle Arts group meetings and weddings.
