Website development from beta page
We are building a nationwide resource website for parents and professionals to use to find resources/services/programs anything related to disabilities. We are using the newest web technologies React/Rails for the web app. We currently have a beta site, which is not ready for a soft launch. We need assistance in finishing design and a few features to be able to move forward. We currently have a beta page found here: http://specialneeds411.herokuapp.com/
we would like to have a robust web design and a few more features added to be able to launch in select metropolitan areas for the first few months. Our goal is to have the database by end of the year. Our goal is to end all barriers to finding services for all Disabilities. We have a staging site. We use GitHub for our code base, we provide all necessaries tools to connect and are available 24/7 for guidance. We have the wire frame and framework for features and features we need along with design concepts. We believe that having the correct resources for special needs caregivers gives them the best advantage in helping their children. Unfortunately, there are no resources available at this time to easily find services and programs they need. We aim to remove all barriers for business and caregivers to reach everyone within their respective communities to help individuals with disabilities. We have the resources and information needed for the developer to complete the task. We are using GitHub and Trello, along with slack messaging to keep in contact and be able to provide assets and guidance at any point in time.
Uniqkid is a public charity who's mission is to provide quality social skills programs to the special needs community that complement their educational and therapeutic programs. We emphasize what a child CAN DO, our goal is to engage youth with personalized programming to help them reach their maximum potential. We help individuals in our community make connections, build learning skills, and provide a nurturing, safe environment, where everyone learns in their own way. Our mission is to engage everyone who walks through our doors by targeting realistic concerns and needs. We aim to apply our personalized programming goals to help everyone – be it child, teen, or young adult – reach their highest individual potential.
