Community survey review
Global Green is seeking help from a volunteer to conduct a review of best practices for community surveys, including for the specific areas of energy efficiency, transit and waste/recycling. The survey is a first step in working toward action because it helps identify what actions the community and individuals want to take, and within these actions what strategies they most would like to take. The final deliverable by the volunteer can either by in the form or a 1-2 page summary, a spreadsheet and/or a powerpoint deck. Global Green is seeking to help 4 communities this year to identify and implement action to mitigate climate change and improve local health and economic outcomes. Topics covered will include: energy efficiency, renewable energy, transit, waste reduction and recycling. Global Green has implemented similar neighborhood-level projects with 30 communities thus far nationally, but this would be the first time we've used the citizen survey in the model. Here's more on the other projects to date:
We're at the beginning stages of scheduling community workshops, and are the preparation phase for 2019.
For 20 years, Global Green USA has been a national leader in advancing smart solutions to climate change that improve lives and protect our planet.
