Global Green USA, NYC Office
Graphic design for city planning
Global Green is seeking help from a graphic designer or illustrator to take community-created designs and turn them into pieces that can be used as a part of city planning. In this way, the designer will be 'co-creating' designs for neighborhood-level improvements with community members participating in workshops. The designer will receive these designs in April 2019 after the workshops are held. Global Green takes a community-based approach to neighborhood planning, aimed at educating and empowering local residents on how to take action to help their communities adapt and respond to local climate change impacts. By working with residents to 'co-create' designs for action and infrastructure in the areas of transit, waste, energy and/or stormwater, we're seeking to leverage greater support within the community and also in city, state or philanthropic resources that can help build the projects. Global Green is planning 4 community workshops in April in the first of four city / neighborhood projects - starting in New Orleans, and we're in the process of having additional communities apply to be a part of this program.
