Los Angeles Drama Club, the country’s youngest Shakespeare Troupe, unites youth ages 7-17 from racially and socio-economically diverse backgrounds and uses the exploration and performance of Shakespeare’s work to foster and increase self-confidence, communication skills and literacy, while building a community of support around shared passions. Although our participants are primarily underserved youth, our program is unique in that it brings together youth from a variety of backgrounds.
