Session Overview
We are a new nonprofit that is setting up our accounting system for the first time. Our finances are very simple right now (money is only from individual donors, there's $4,000 in the bank, and we spend almost no money).
We'd like advice on immediate steps to take in order to get a good-enough system in place (like here's a template excel document that will tide you over the next two months, these are the forms you need to file with the federal and New York state government at the end of the fiscal year, and here's how you can reimburse volunteers for past expenses). If time, advice on the next steps to take after the immediate needs are met would be much appreciated!
