Session Overview
Our corporate name is Media for the Public Good (MFPG). Initially one program - OutCasting, “public radio’s LGBTQ youth program.” In 2016, a second program, OutCasting Overtime (OT), initially online-only but later distributed to public radio stations. Then our tagline became "OutCasting Media, creator of public radio's LGBTQ youth programs." We like both identities - MFPG has a bit of heft, which signals some seriousness and seems respected by outsiders, including potential funders, and OutCasting is a little more playful and represents the youth side of what we do. But how can we best combine these two identities?

Nonprofit Overview
Uniting LGBTQ youth, straight allies, and the power of media in advocacy for a less unjust world.
We produce public radio's nationally distributed LGBTQ youth programs, providing exceptional and sometimes life-changing experiences to our youth participants while enlightening the public on issues that are unfortunately still divisive, as part of the public education component of advocacy for LGBTQ equality.
