I want to be able to pay independent contractors for work done in my organization, but I don't know where to start. I'm not sure what software I should use and how to categorize payments made to them. We do not yet have grants, we are self-funded and rely on donations, I mentioned this because I've been given mixed reviews on whether I can pay people without having grants. Some of my independent contractors are based in other countries, so this adds another complication. I really need to figure this out now because I'm getting ready to launch a project.
