Session Overview
We need advice about developing a communications strategy for reaching out to the New Jersey Department of Education regarding a new STEM law.
On Dec. 21, 2021, Governor Murphy signed A2455/S2204, which establishes a pilot program to support robotics programs in school districts. The bipartisan supported legislation further reinforces that robotics is a popular and effective teaching tool for teachers to introduce students to important areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math

In mid-January, I had initial contact with the individual within the NJ Department of Education. They agreed that we could set up a meeting. More than a month later, I have yet to hear anything. Our organization is fortunate that we have thousands of motivated high school students that would advocate for us in an email campaign to the Department of Education. The same students were integral in getting the legislation passed in 2021. I hesitate to utilize their services to motivate the Department of Ed.
