Session Overview

As a Third Party Survey Provider HVA has designed a unique, HIPPA compliant, member based Social/Advocacy web platform to carry out our mission of providing valuable feedback and insights to help the VA identify and address issues related to veteran isolation, suicide, and healthcare. By facilitating communication and collaboration between stakeholders, we have created a supportive community that contributes to improving the overall well-being of Handicapped Veterans.

Our informational Word Press site and two Social/Advocacy sites on SocialEngine.com licensed software were built as prototypes for further development. HandicappedVets.org HVASocial.org USMilitary.social

The WP site holds our VA Clinic data base (complete except for 17 States) https://handicappedvets.org/kentucky-clinics/ The polls and forums have yet to be added.

Before looking for a volunteer to complete the development we need the advise of someone that talks the language. Stick with WP? Build an app? Use WP social sites vs SocialEngine sites? Etc. What qualifications do we look for in a volunteer to complete the development? General feedback and brainstorming.

Nonprofit Overview

Handicapped Veterans Association (HVA) is a unique Veterans Service Organization and Third Party Survey Provider.*

Our mission is to:
Build Community - Address Veteran Suicide - Help Solve Healthcare Problems.

Our Stakeholders are:
-US Military Veterans rated 30% or more disabled by the Veterans Administration that are followed in VA Clinics
-Affiliated Veteran Service Organizations
-Individual VA Clinics.

Affiliated VSOs and VA Clinics share in management of the project through a seat on the Board of Directors.

Our Third Party Survey mechanism and delivery system is a HIPPA compliant, member based social/advocacy website. A separate site is planned for each State and US Territory as the project matures.
