What's a Team Project

A 12-15 week program where a team of four to six skilled volunteers works on and delivers a custom project that addresses a nonprofit’s key infrastructure challenge.

About this Opportunity

Kaleidoscope’s mission is to empower children, youth, and families impacted by abuse and neglect to build resourcefulness, resiliency, and supportive relationships through innovative, individualized case management and clinical services. Our vision is that all children and youth have the opportunity to enjoy safe and healthy lives nurtured by responsive adults.

What the nonprofit needs help with

Kaleidoscope is in need of support to develop our next Strategic Plan. As it stands, our government funding is not sufficient for meeting the complex needs of the youth and families we serve in the sustainable and qualitative manner in which we strive. Because we have not received a rate increase in our state contracts in fifteen years, agencies like Kaleidoscope are also struggling to adequately compensate, train, and retain qualified staff. A main priority for this next strategic plan is to complete a more in depth environmental and demographic scan that looks closely at the threats and opportunities in the child welfare space.

What the skilled volunteers will be working on for the nonprofit

Final deliverables:

• SWOT Analysis and environmental scan of the child welfare space
• A 3-year strategic plan that takes into account the following goals:

Funding issues
Staffing issues
Marketing/communications
