Website Redesign: WordPress

We seek a web designer to create structure and design options for our nonprofit website, which is an Astra WordPress website. The volunteer should assess and incorporate our goals and needs and consider our key audiences. The designer should also assess our technical capabilities. The project's deliverable is a draft of architecture and design concepts that we can easily share with a web developer volunteer or a member of our team who will use the guide to create our new site.

Our work will take place over multiple meetings in one to three to six weeks, as is possible. We could even work on an accelerated timeline if that is the designer's preference. We have a team doing the development work, and we are specifically seeking certain main pages and templates that we can stepwise engage with the programmers, who have been generally wonderful; design is simply not their forte.

In our first meeting, the volunteer should interview us about our desired features, our web capabilities, and our technical expertise. Then, they'll synthesize the information into a requirements briefing. We'll engage in various check-ins, where a member or members of our team will provide feedback. The volunteer will audit our current site to create a draft of site architecture and design options including wireframes, site structure, and other visual elements.

Well, we here at Delta are all kindsa excited about our new website going up! We have developers who are working on some integrations and content loading. We are sorely lacking a designer -- someone who has a great eye for colors and layout who can use our brand colors, fonts, logo, and main image, and other images we really like that imbue our brand's site with meaning, joy, and cohesion as we deliver a user experience that's relaxing and uplifting with a vast array of spectacular nature images, including Webb images and Northern Lights photos as well as landscapes from around our magnificent world. All in all, we're seeking:

1. WordPress Astra home page,
2. store landing page,
3. product template page,
4. program home page,
5. program template page,
6. artist home page,
7. artist template page,
8. entrepreneur home page,
9. entrepreneur template page,

Just these 9 would be a huge boon for our capacity to fill out the template pages with all the individual information. This work will mean teams can load their work as, say, a template is finished. The content is being developed but much of it is ready.

11. event template page (perhaps, also open if there's a better way to display/organize individual events)

We have other keen ideas but this would set us up to be in such a better place as we build forward from our current capacity!

We are prepared to brief you about our current website platform, budget restrictions, and information about our stakeholder groups and target audiences. We've folders set up on our Workspace containing available images we love (as well as our logo, brand colors, and fonts) for the site including our Main Image of a redwood with a heart shining through that's unphotoshopped and we are also open to someone using that cache of material as inspiration and (potentially, or not) finding other images that may suit best for a particular page or section. We have a brand language page available as well.

We also have a Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager, Ms. Esther Akodu, who chose our brand colors and will be updating our logo; she and I are both available to provide material on the fly while you're working on particular pieces. She is a delightful professional with whom to work. It's a team that inspires me as we work together daily!! We are actually implementing daily, on the fly, but we are certainly happy to work with you according to your convenience and preferred pace. It's true, someone who could and wanted to jump right in and help us swiftly would be ideal but we are also super open to finding a seriously stoked resonant human who maybe also loves the Earth (but not necessary) with whom to work on these designs and maybe more as we grow!!
