Hunger Volunteer Connection

Taproot+ is a seamless way for nonprofits to find pro bono help and for skilled volunteers to provide it. We’ve partnered with Hunger Volunteer Connection to offer volunteers and nonprofits direct access to a curated marketplace for pro bono.

There are nearly 49 million Americans who are food insecure today, and in 2013, nearly 16 million children lived in food insecure households [USDA ERS 2014]. But in a nation of plenty, we believe it’s everyone’s right to have access to enough food. We also believe that through the strategic service of volunteers and hunger-fighting organizations, we can have a great impact—and see great results—in the fight against hunger. The mission of Hunger Volunteer Connection is to connect and mobilize volunteers and organizations in the fight against hunger in the U.S., thus improving the lives of people at risk of hunger.
