Please disregard the time period of 6-9 weeks. The course of this project is estmated at 3-6 months. I need volunteers who are courageous, committed and truly willing to learn more about veteran homelessness and suicide epidemics going on amongst our heroes. You would engage companies and corporations; requesting in-kind donations and partnerships. You will mostly email the companies and call only when necessary. Veteran Connection desperately need housing and transportation resources to help at-risk veterans and their families. We collaboratively work with other veteran services, including the VA to assist homeless and at-risk veterans and their families. We are a small grassroots organization, with very big hearts and true love for all veterans. Although there's many services and programs out there, way to many gaps exists. Barriers such as eras of service, discharge rating and income keep our treasured veterans in distress and not fully supported by the country they swore to protect and defend. You must not need constant supervision, be open to learning and communication skills is a must. Also, you will work on a team with project managers.
