Once accepted, you'll be able to get right to work. We will check in with you periodically to make sure you have everything you need.
I took a part-time role at a nonprofit that places therapy dogs in hospitals, prisons, schools, etc. The organization has never had a communication and marketing plan in its 15-year existence. I'm looking for help with developing these plans - what our messages should be, how we do it and to whom. Veterans with PTSD, children with cancer, elderly who can't remember their loved ones. You name it, an animal can make a connection with these people. PAWS for People organizes pet therapy visits to organizations in four states - DE, NJ, MD, and PA. The stories and connections are amazing, but we need help crafting our messages and making a plan to deliver those messages. I have at least 20 hours a week to develop these plans and will spend the rest of my career with PAWS implementing them. I have been shadowing teams that visit hospitals, schools, etc. and have been interviewing them and well as people receiving visits to learn more about the benefits of pet therapy.
Our mission is to lovingly provide elders, children, and folks with disabilities individualized, therapeutic visits with a gentle, affectionate pet.
