Project Overview

We are looking for a volunteer to assist our nonprofit with setting social media success metrics and tracking performance towards those goals.

This volunteer will directly connect with the Social Media Team Project Manager. During this project, a volunteer will determine appropriate metrics for tracking TogetherWell’s social media presence, perform regular analysis of data using TogetherWell’s platform aggregator, while also creating key takeaways from the data to optimize TogetherWell’s social media presence online.

*Taproot editor's note: Since this is described as an ongoing need, volunteer applicants should keep in mind that the length of this project is flexible and should be discussed during the interview process.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Identify key metrics to be used for regular and also longer-term measures of TogetherWell’s social media strategic priorities
• Perform analysis on metric data using social media aggregator platform and report out on a regular basis during Social Media Team meetings, and to other stakeholders as needed
• Report on audience growth, content performance, and engagement in partnership with the Social Media Strategist to optimize content and social strategy
• Organize metrics, analysis, and any requested analytics deliverables into clear reports for ease of utilization for periodic report-outs and/or by other stakeholders

We are looking for a volunteer who has:
• Experience working, tracking, and analysis for social media as an integral part of past/current role(s)
• Has the ability to work independently and on a team and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Innovative self-starter
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to deduce next steps/key takeaways from data
• Comfortable adapting to the different needs of TogetherWell social media priorities and how analytics can be best utilized to support those priorities

Essential functions of the role include:
While performing the responsibilities of this project, the volunteer may also frequently be required to communicate using the telephone, email, and in person with TogetherWell team members.
