Project Overview

We need a volunteer to help us develop a brand positioning strategy so that we can increase our donor base and therefore make more impact in the lives of the underserved. IDRF has been working as a public charity in the US for 35 years, and it mainly focuses on social causes in India under 6 themes -- women empowerment, education, sustainable development, governance, health, and disaster relief. Our growth has been very organic with very limited marketing strategy other than updating our website and some social media sites. We would like a person experienced in marketing nonprofits or charities.

Our challenge is formulating and directing the marketing efforts of a credible 35 year old public charity to outreach to 4.8M Indian diaspora in the US. We have the highest rating of the independent rating agencies, and we've some powerful impact stories of the projects done over the years. We need guidance in reflecting these in a brand strategy and execution of the same.

We've updated our website after 10 years and have started to develop a social media calendar with weekly updates. We are also developing some stories to be put in a blog. We also did SEO and are seeing top organic results for our efforts.

All these efforts will help in implementing the brand position strategy that we expect to develop under the guidance of the Taproot expert.
