Become our subject matter expert on our Volunteer Management Platform. Help design, implement, and train users and volunteers on Volgistics. Our Mentor program begins in late January 2024 and will continue through the end of the school year in May 2024. Our goal is to enlist, equip, and engage 60 volunteer mentors in Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Miami-Dade, Florida school districts.

Together we will establish the procedures, workflows, and documentation to be built into the Volgistics platform. Our goal is to be able to on-board, manage, and then report the successes of our volunteer mentors as they work with students and school communities.

Father and Family Council is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, focused on helping Dads be present and engaged in the lives of their children, their children's school, and community. We realize that not all children have a Dad in their lives, but still have a need for a positive male role model. Our Mentor Program is designed to help address that need. The statistics are overwhelming regarding the need for this role. You can help make a difference in a child's life between building a hope-filled future or a lifetime derailed by bad decisions. This Mentor Project is a pilot, designed to be easily transported and reproduced. Our mission is to work collaboratively with organizations that are willing to stand in the gap and help forge these relationships, one child at a time.

The bulk of funding for this project has been committed by Woodson Center and Aetna after review and approval of its proposal. Additional funding is provided by the Children's Trust of Miami through its Capacity Building program. It is anticipated that additional funding and in-kind support will be received from other corporate sponsors such as Achieva Credit Union.

There are multiple organizations that are directly or peripherally involved in mentoring-type activities. By working collaboratively we will be able to leverage and magnify the efforts of each. Outreach has already begun with very positive results.
