We are looking for someone to create a custom template using Elementor, or something similar, to update our website so that it is more streamlined and easier to update on the backend. We also would like to have an improved search function, using plug-ins if necessary, which will make it easier for users to find what they need when they need it. We are hoping to find someone who can help us build the structure so that we can easily update the content on a regular basis.

Hostage US is a small NGO that supports the families of American citizens who are held hostage abroad, and the former hostage themselves when they return home. Our support comes in many forms, including connecting beneficiaries with pro-bono service providers, volunteers who can provide guidance and mentorship, and resources that aim to educate people as they make their way through this terrible ordeal.

The Hostage US website, www.hostageus.org, is a central location for our resources, and we hope to create a site that makes it easy for beneficiaries to find what they need when they need it. When a loved one is taken hostage overseas, families often have no idea where to go or who to speak with. They're faced with having to take a crash course in hostage diplomacy while managing a new life that they had never before imagined. Hostage US exists so that this learning curve is less daunting and so that families can focus on what is most important. The Hostage US website is a key tool is educating both families and returnees, and making it more accessible is a priority over the coming months.

We currently have a WordPress website and are looking to update it using something like Elementor, which will be easier to update. The content of the site is largely done, and we have a committee put together to help with further content creation and data entry. What we are looking for is someone who can build the template in such a way that staff and volunteers can easily manage the website ourselves with little or no outside assistance.
