Project Overview

Our nonprofit needs to develop a social media presence but do not have the skills to do so on our own. During this project, we'd like for a volunteer to provide advice on which social media channels our nonprofit should be using to get in front of relevant community members. Once we decide on the right social platforms, our volunteer will help us set-up the accounts and train team members on how to navigate each channel. In addition to social media launch, we'd like your recommendations on content to publish on channels going forward (we will recruit additional Taproot volunteers to shape this content).In order for the VFNJ to attract donors and program participants, a social media page is needed. I don't have social media experience and need a volunteer's support in launching this initiative.We have our domain name and a web page under our parent nonprofit. I will make myself available to this social media volunteer to answer questions and brainstorm with them.

Nonprofit Overview

The mission of the Veteran Farmers of NJ (VFNJ) is to act as a clearing house for all veteran or active duty personnel in NJ to become Involved with, or learn more about any type of farming or agriculture ventures. The VFNJ accomplishes this mission through education, workshops, networking, mentoring, training, job placement, and a fellowship for veterans.
