Project Overview

We're looking for a volunteer with experience setting up a bookkeeping system and/or software from scratch!

We are currently interested in QuickBooks but are open to something else depending on your recommendation. You'll help us set up regular recording, reconciliation, and reporting practices by spending 20-25 hours with us over 4-5 weeks. In our first meeting, we'll share a detailed description of our existing financial record-keeping and reporting systems. In phase one of the project, you'll migrate our data over to our new software and help us set up our account administrator privileges for our users. In the second phase of our project, you will provide one or two of our team members with basic training. We ask that you make yourself available for up to two weeks to address our questions as we adjust to the new software and systems.

This would be super helpful for us as it has been one of those things we have let slip through the cracks. We would like to get all of our ducks in a row so we can be ready to grow!

We've acquired a new accounting software. We've had very basic training and have reviewed their guidelines on how to manage the system and run basic reports. We will designate a member of our team who will manage the volunteer and the project.

Nonprofit Overview

Adaptive Freedom Foundation
A foundation for inclusion through adaptive water sports and recreation.

Vision statement:
Adaptive Freedom Foundation will better society, as a whole, by putting Smiles on Faces and Hope in Hearts. We provide life changing experiences to both individuals with disabilities and their family and friends through therapeutic water sports and recreation. We help foster confidence and self esteem by smashing self-limiting beliefs! If we can float a wheelchair on the water then our only limitation is our imagination!

Mission Statement:
Adaptive Freedom Foundation a 501(c)3 nonprofit, believes sports in general raise our quality of life. Sports build confidence, improve our physical fitness, and emotional well being. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate.
AFF has built WASUP™ (Wheelchair Adapted Stand Up) Boards to use as a tool to includes the portion of our society that been limited by, beliefs and lack of adaptive equipment, into a healthy lifestyle. These boards secure a wheelchair onto a stand up paddle board and allow everyone the opportunity to get out on the water and enjo. What was previously thought impossible is now possible, stand up paddling in a wheelchair.
AFF partners with other foundations to share the gift of WASUP and the healing powers of the water. We are stronger together! We regularly host “Paddle Days” to introduce our WASUP boards and get people out on the water.
Through WASUP Boards we see adapted paddle boarding becoming something accessible to everyone. We are working to build teams to compete in SUP races and spread awareness of the sport.
We will start chapters which will duplicate what we have done in Southern California and Hawaii to multiply the lasting effects of WASUP and adaptive sports with the community locally, nationally and internationally.
Through donations, corporate partner's, corporate sponsors and our volunteers we are able to offer this opportunity free of charge. We are helping one person at a time, change their lives and amazingly paddle through doors that they may have felt were previously closed to them!
