Project Overview

Our nonprofit is seeking volunteer assistance to expand an Airtable database. We are interested in building an application to support our operations with workflows, streamline communication, data collection, and program reporting. The project will utilize a set of tables in Airtable and the triggers and actions to develop workflows, calendars, and reports.

We are growing rapidly, and our infrastructure is not keeping up! We can envision how much better support we could offer to people who don't have housing, and how many more people we could assist if we just some good tools in place.

We use Airtable for some data already. We have several of the tables in place, and the next phase is to create the triggers and actions to create and support workflows. We envision an agile development approach where a component could be launched in a week or two, prior to developing another component. One component may take a week or two to complete (much less actual "coding" time), but the full vision might require several iterations. We have some technical background, but we are short of time to learn and execute the "coding" in Airtable.

When a component is completed, it will be immediately placed into service, to assist our staff in making referrals, working as a team, tracking outcomes, and streamlining the reporting.

Nonprofit Overview

We are refocusing the organization toward Empowering Community through housing stability, ending homelessness in our community, and fostering relationships. We work through a lens of Asset-based Community Development, transformational/relationship approaches rather than transactional/charity-based.
