Project Overview

We're seeking a volunteer to help us maximize our Google Ad Grant. This project will play a key role in our organization's ability to grow brand awareness and impact community members. This project may include the following activities:
-Development of or updates to our nonprofit's Google Ads strategy
-Training one staff member on how to update Google Ads and monitor their performance
-Revising the integration set up between Google Ads and Google Analytics
-Making recommendations for future search engine optimization or content management projects that will improve our Google Ads health

Our ideal volunteer has experience with Google Ads and/or search engine marketing and copywriting skills.

The Stroke Foundation has experienced great growth from its inception over three years ago. Having Google Analytics set up, as well as the Google Ads grant, has greatly benefitted our organization. We are now at a stage where we need to be more strategic about our search engine optimization and marketing and would like an experienced volunteer to help guide us through this project. As a fully volunteer-run organization we appreciate all the help we can receive to increase the impact we can have in the lives of stroke survivors and their caregivers.

Over the past year our website has seen over 46k unique visitors and we want to ensure we are doing all we can to better serve our community. This project will help us streamline operations, ensure sustainable growth and help us be more visible across the board. We have three main initiatives: our Stroke Survivor Fund which helps stroke survivors cover some of the costs of physical, speech and occupational therapies; our Life After Stroke blog that hosts useful information for stroke survivors and their caregivers; and our new Find Support page, where we host information about our programs and other organizations who work to help those navigating the challenges of life after stroke.

To prepare, we have activated Google Ads for our website and secured a Google Ad Grant award. We are prepared to share the login credentials or set up new log in credentials to our Google Workspace. In our first session together, we'll brief you on our marketing goals, as well as our mission, vision, and purpose. Your training of our team members on Google Ads best practices will help ensure the long-term successful implementation of the great work you share with us.

A staff member will be in charge of ensuring this project helps our overall strategy and maintaining our Google Ads and Analytics accounts.

Nonprofit Overview

We strive to provide clear, free, scientifically-backed information to all people recovering from a stroke. Through partnerships and community support, The Stroke Foundation will provide articles, videos, and how-to guides, covering all aspects of stroke recovery.

We focus on:
- Spreading awareness about stroke facts — we gather important statistics and information from the most trusted health organizations in the world: warning signs, risk factors, types of stroke and prevention tips.

- Helping stroke survivors start their recovery journey — access to physical, speech and occupational therapies for recovery is scarce and challenging. Our Stroke Survivor Fund can help.

- Providing useful information for caregivers — caring for someone recovering from a stroke can be a challenging task, both physically and mentally. Here you will find important information on keeping yourself healthy so you can take better care of others.
