Project Overview

We're looking for a volunteer to help us save time and be more strategic with our social media presence. Specifically, you'll create a template for a one-month social posting calendar that we can leverage to make managing our multiple social media channels easy. You'll draft copy for 15-20 posts and make recommendations to customize our content to optimize it for different platforms. The final deliverable will be the calendar template you create filled with 15-20 different posts.

You're a great fit for us if you're passionate about our mission, you have a background in managing professional social media accounts, and you can spend ten hours over one to three weeks on this project.

As a fully volunteer-run organization, we rely on the support and generosity of our community of volunteers to help us carry out our mission. Having an established brand, we are uniquely positioned to take the recommendations of the expert that will take on this project to establish a long-term social media content strategy that complements the work we are already doing. To that end, we are looking for help in establishing a cadence of posts, content pillars and strategy that is sustainable and scalable. This project will help The Stroke Foundation expand its social media presence and brand awareness on Instagram and Facebook.

To prepare for the project, we will provide you with our events calendar and other relevant social media handles of organizations that are pillars in our sector. You'll have access to a file of photos and logos and a list of our hashtags, initiatives, landing pages, and more.

Nonprofit Overview

We strive to provide clear, free, scientifically-backed information to all people recovering from a stroke. Through partnerships and community support, The Stroke Foundation will provide articles, videos, and how-to guides, covering all aspects of stroke recovery.

We focus on:
- Spreading awareness about stroke facts — we gather important statistics and information from the most trusted health organizations in the world: warning signs, risk factors, types of stroke and prevention tips.

- Helping stroke survivors start their recovery journey — access to physical, speech and occupational therapies for recovery is scarce and challenging. Our Stroke Survivor Fund can help.

- Providing useful information for caregivers — caring for someone recovering from a stroke can be a challenging task, both physically and mentally. Here you will find important information on keeping yourself healthy so you can take better care of others.
