Project Overview
U.S. VETS is seeking a dedicated volunteer to assist in planning and facilitating a training session focused on effective performance management strategies and SMART goal creation for our supervisors.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with the Training and Development Committee to outline the training objectives, agenda, and content outline.
-Research and compile best practices and resources related to performance management and SMART goal setting.
-Develop engaging training materials, including presentations, handouts, and activities, to facilitate learning and interaction among participants.
-Assist in scheduling and coordinating logistics for the training session, including venue selection, participant invitations, and audiovisual setup.
-Facilitate the training session in collaboration with the committee, ensuring a dynamic and interactive learning experience for supervisors.
-Provide support and guidance to participants as they apply performance management strategies and SMART goal-setting techniques in their roles.

Our national team has developed a comprehensive training deck that covers key SMART goal development. Once the project is complete, we plan to implement it in the following ways:
-Training Delivery: We will schedule and facilitate the training session for supervisors, ensuring that all participants have the opportunity to learn and practice the skills covered in the curriculum.
-Follow-Up Support: We will provide ongoing support and resources to supervisors as they implement the skills and strategies learned in the training session. This may include additional coaching, refresher sessions, or access to online resources.
