Project Overview

We would like expertise advice and suggested edits to our existing employee performance management policies and practices. Most of the policies were rewritten (or in some cases, just created) in the last two years, when I joined the organization as Executive Director. While I used research and past experiences, I am not a HR expert and would love to know these are what they should be! Additionally, it's important to us as an organization that these are reviewed with an equity lens.

Our top priority at Milton Family Community Center right now is ensuring our staff are supported, engaged, well-trained to do quality work, and want to show up every day. We served well over 500 families in a relatively small town in Vermont, and we really dive deep to serve households holistically. This project is at the heart of ensuring we do our best work - and we want to do it well. Your help could make all the difference!

We have an existing performance management plan, and it's very organized on a cheat sheet for new hires. This is the starting point we would like to use to seek input and edits. I also can share how it's been going - what's going well and what could be better - from the last few months of implementation.
