Session Overview
As a team, we are currently exploring strategies to address the inability of refugee children to access their health, education and identity records in the countries of arrival, transit, or destination. Our hope is to expand our network to include partners from NGOs working with refugee children, scholars studying refugee children’s experiences across borders, and individuals from government and technology sectors who have the knowledge to address the challenges that come with information portability (e.g., access, privacy, platform interoperability, etc.).
This work is part of a larger program of research that is seeking to understand the institutional, social and political aspects of a refugee child’s environment that potentiates their resilience under conditions of extreme stress.
