Hello my name is Seema Sked and I'm the Executive Assistant to the Director of the Richmond Peace Education Center, a non-profit organization in Richmond, Virginia. We are re-launching after Covid (operated as volunteer-only during that time), have a new Executive Director, Colonel Pratt, and need a re-start of sorts. Funding is a huge issue and we need a volunteer to assist with grant writing. (Generally we need help with social media strategy, fundraising, and grant writing in general.) We want to re-start programs and hire additional office staff. Previous programs we've offered are peacebuilding, trauma-healing and conflict resolution workshops, promoting non-violence, MLK Jr. Educoncert honoring the life of MLK Jr. though voices of the youth, racial justice, teen programs offering peaceful alternatives to violence, advocacy, etc. We are funded mainly by grants and donations and need help rebuilding.
