Session Overview
Identifying what we don't know is my primary goal with this consultation. Given our current operating budget and new fundraising goals, how do we adequately prepare for the future and optimize our treasurer duties?
We're also interested in understanding what kind of advice we might need to make certain decisions around programming (setting up a scholarship program, paying volunteers an honorarium, etc. ) -- do we need a CPA, standalone treasurer, and/or lawyer?

We also strive to amplify voices, foster community, and seek to develop culturally-responsive approaches to preparing Black women scientists for success in the field of computational biology, from technical training to building vital social capital, which is key to retaining our talent.
