Session Overview
The National Bonsai Foundation (NBF) is the 501c3 nonprofit partner to National Museum of Bonsai and Penjing, which is located on the grounds of the U.S. National Arboretum. While there is limited information about the Museum on the U.S. National Arboretum government website, the NBF webpage is the most detailed and up to date site for visitors and supporters. It also includes Museum history, digital exhibit documentation, and educational information about the art. The website needs to be updated and reorganized, but NBF only has one full time staff member and does not have the expertise or funds to do this on our own. We would like to apply for a Taproot Plus project, but are not sure how to describe the scope of work regarding the website.
Nonprofit Overview
The National Bonsai Foundation, in partnership with the U.S. National Arboretum, is honored to provide financial, programmatic, and curatorial support for the U.S. National Bonsai & Penjing Museum, a free and public museum located on the grounds of the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington, DC. Together we promote the art of bonsai, penjing, and related art forms to visitors through masterpiece displays and educational programs while fostering intercultural friendship and understanding.
