Inspiring Young Minds (IYM) places hundreds of deserving students of color and other students, in some of the most prestigious College Preparatory Schools across the country. We have no staff but operate through a working board and volunteers. However, through a recent grant, our organization has been able to hire a long-needed Program Director. We need an accountant because IYM is in the process of changing its name which will require filing new articles of incorporation, filing for nonprofit 501c (3) status and other legal requirements of New York State charitable registration. The accountant would help us with this process that may require reporting of revenues and expenses and tax accounting for nonprofits. Another need is to help IYM prepare proper financial statements as required by grantors.
