Digital content strategy for Unity Parenting and Counseling Inc.
We were in the midst of a Taproot+ digital content strategy project for our art programs when our youth emergency shelter was struck by a serious fire. Our skilled volunteer immediately pivoted focus right along with us and threw himself into developing a GoFundMe campaign to assist our shelter in recuperating from the severe fire damage. Our volunteer’s efforts paid off; this initial social media campaign raised over $20,000 from new donors within two months.
Unity Parenting and Counseling is a stronger, more viable organization today because of Taproot and our skilled volunteer.
Program evaluation strategy for Senior Living Options Inc. DBA Step Up for Better Living
We had a draft logic model for program evaluation, but we needed help revising and implementing it. We turned to Taproot+ and quickly matched with a skilled volunteer. Now that we have a completed logic model, Step Up has improved its capacity to evaluate programs. This valuable tool helps us measure exactly how much our programs help our clients.
Our pro bono experience didn’t stop there. Step Up completed and implemented three additional Taproot+ projects. Each project addressed a specific problem and resulted in clear solutions. Taproot was instrumental in helping us address numerous capacity building needs in technology, data management, and marketing. The support provided by their staff was amazing, and the whole experience was rewarding!
Content strategy for #GivingTuesday campaign for The Dignity Institute
This year for #GivingTuesday, we wanted to take our fundraising campaign to the next level. We enlisted several Taproot+ volunteers to help us prepare for the day, tackling challenges such as website updates, coding, creative copywriting, and social media messaging. Each one of our volunteers worked with such dedication and flair. They have been an invaluable source of ideas, deliverables, and inspiration for our organization.
I am eternally grateful for the support, enthusiasm, professionalism, and great ideas that our volunteers provided to my organization. Because of them, we can now attract more funding and the resources needed to help our youth stay in school, graduate, and live a productive life.
Design for visual identity for Child Care Resource & Referral
We decided to use pro bono service because we had grown beyond our "state" funded core services and were all over the place. CCR&R needed a brand and messaging for our constituency; we required professional advice but, as a nonprofit, did not have the funds to pursue it. Taproot helped bridge that gap by connecting us with highly skilled volunteers who produced professional-level, usable end results.
Our organization received a Taproot Service Grant in 2016 and adopted a full branding and messaging plan with recommendations from our skilled volunteers that we implemented through a separate Taproot+ project. Participation in one pro bono service seems to lead to another! We continue to have plans to reach out for more pro bono. It has become an increasing part of our budget.
Marketing guidelines and design for Adaptable Security Corp
My organization sought out pro bono support right after our inception. Since we are brand new, we needed expert advice and technical skills to implement the new ideas and designs coming from our staff and volunteers. We found amazing talent through Taproot+ and dove into a few projects with our skilled volunteers. After around 800 hours of pro bono support, we now have a website, a marketing strategy, and a freshly developed product ready for beta launch. Taproot+ provided all the human resources that our low-budget nonprofit needed to hit the ground running.
To put it simply, our experience with Taproot and their pool of skilled volunteers rocked. Taproot+ helped us use pro bono service by connecting us with skilled volunteers, sharing best practices, and conduct periodic status checking. They were our personal fairy godmother throughout the entire process.
Online Marketing Campaigns Assistance for Ajiri Tea Company
As Ajiri grew, we drew up plans to redesign our website, develop a new product, and revamp the marketing for our existing products. Since we didn't have the resources or expertise to do all of that on our own, Ajiri looked to Taproot+ to connect us with pro bono volunteers. Through work with our skilled volunteers we were able to successfully develop a new product—a gift box! We are so excited for the gift box to hit shelves within the month; with the increase in revenue, we hope to develop more programs for our students in Kenya.
Through Taproot+ we have found enthusiastic, engaging, and talented volunteers who have worked—and are still working—to grow our organization.
