Website development

Website development (GoDaddy) for Coins for Change

Our experience with pro bono support through Taproot+ was excellent. We are a small foundation and completely consist of volunteer staff. Most of us were born in the days before Google and so we required major assistance in updating our website and updating our social media presence. We’re grateful that we were able to connect to the professional resources we needed in order to redo our website and implement a social media strategy to increase our reach and drive awareness of our efforts.Through pro bono, we not only accomplished our goal of developing our online presence, but we also ended up finding a person who is now a valued member of our organization.
I’d encourage others using skilled volunteers to keep in touch with your volunteer even after the project wraps. Our volunteer became such an important part of our organization during her time with us: she is now sponsoring one of our girls in Kenya!

Marketing Strategy

Coaching and recommendations on Facebook for Village Improvement Project, Inc.

A Taproot+ volunteer assisted VIP to effectively leverage images, memes, pop culture events, and holidays on Facebook that support the nonprofit’s mission. By overcoming Facebook’s newsfeed algorithm, the volunteer’s work greatly increased VIP’s social media attention within Facebook.

Business Planning

Strategic plan assembly for Char-Em United Way Inc.

With only a two person team, Char-Em United needed the help of a volunteer to review and polish their strategic plan in order to display it on their website. The Taproot+ skilled volunteer helped complete the plan, creating an internal and conceptual working document for CEU’s community and donors.

Content strategy for #GivingTuesday campaign for The Dignity Institute

This year for #GivingTuesday, we wanted to take our fundraising campaign to the next level. We enlisted several Taproot+ volunteers to help us prepare for the day, tackling challenges such as website updates, coding, creative copywriting, and social media messaging. Each one of our volunteers worked with such dedication and flair. They have been an invaluable source of ideas, deliverables, and inspiration for our organization.
I am eternally grateful for the support, enthusiasm, professionalism, and great ideas that our volunteers provided to my organization. Because of them, we can now attract more funding and the resources needed to help our youth stay in school, graduate, and live a productive life.

Website design and development for Double Comfort

Pro bono in one word? Love. The old adage that ‘it takes a village’ is very accurate in the social enterprise world. Taproot pro bono volunteers have helped Double Comfort rebrand, pull our crazy sales spreadsheets together, and build a new website. These projects have helped us in marketing and selling our product to make more revenue for food pantries. The volunteers we have found are amazing individuals, with big professional skill sets and even bigger hearts.
To be able to tap into folks through Taproot, find them where they're at, and match their skills with our needs - it’s invaluable.

Marketing Strategy

Online Marketing Campaigns Assistance for Ajiri Tea Company

As Ajiri grew, we drew up plans to redesign our website, develop a new product, and revamp the marketing for our existing products. Since we didn't have the resources or expertise to do all of that on our own, Ajiri looked to Taproot+ to connect us with pro bono volunteers. Through work with our skilled volunteers we were able to successfully develop a new product—a gift box! We are so excited for the gift box to hit shelves within the month; with the increase in revenue, we hope to develop more programs for our students in Kenya.
Through Taproot+ we have found enthusiastic, engaging, and talented volunteers who have worked—and are still working—to grow our organization.
